We have been actively engaged in handling prescription and non-prescription drug cases. These cases develop when individuals utilize prescription and non-prescription drugs and develop adverse reactions. One of our partners, Angelo Cifaldi, a registered pharmacist and teacher of Pharmacy Law at Rutgers College of Pharmacy, practices extensively in this area.
We represent and are involved with the following types of cases:
» An individual who developed T-cell lymphoma from exposure to benzene in a denture cream product. That case was successfully resolved by settlement.
» An individual who took an over-the-counter aspirin product, which caused the 4-year-old to develop an injury called Steven Johnson's Syndrome. This is an injury in which the child's body develops a reaction, which appears as if they have received severe burns.
» We are class counsel in the New Jersey Diet Drug litigation seeking to force the manufacturers of the drugs to fund a court supervised, medical monitoring and research fund. This fund would permit persons who took these drugs to get the diagnostic monitoring procedures they need to determine if they have suffered heart valve damage from the drug.
